Shannon Holliday and John Henig successfully defended a sitting judge in a civil case in which there was an allegation the judge’s conduct was negligent, wanton, and amounted to gross negligence. There were further claims of defamation and libel. The claims were disposed of by the court having granted summary judgment. The judge took the position that his actions were protected by judicial immunity, absolute privilege and qualified privilege. The plaintiff did not appeal the granting of summary judgment.
